Where the Name Comes From

Form & Mora is named after two ideas that sit at the heart of good design: form — the shape and structure of an object — and mora, a Finnish word evoking slowness, patience, and the unhurried passage of time. Together, they capture what we look for in every piece we bring to our store: beauty that is purposeful, and quality that endures.

We travel — physically and through long conversations with makers — to find furniture, lighting, and design objects that meet our standard. Our selection spans Scandinavian studios working in solid wood and natural textiles, Italian workshops with generations of craft knowledge, and independent designers across Europe who are quietly producing some of the most considered work being made today.

We are not interested in trends. We are interested in pieces that will still feel right in twenty years.

The Way We Choose

Every object in our store has passed through a simple but demanding filter: Would we want to live with this? Does it do what it promises? Is it made in a way we can stand behind?
